AREA 17 DISTRICT 6
District 6 connects Kauai AA with other Hawaii AA Groups and with AA Groups worldwide. district 6 also serves the local Kauai community through various committees: Public Information, AA meetings into KCCC, Cooperating with Professionals (Educators, Courts, Medical Personnel, and Treatment Centers).
Need an Alternate District Committee Chair
The primary duties of an Alternate DCM include serving in the DCM's Absence, assisting the DCM, has a vote at area assemblies and committees, ensuring continuity, and communication with GSR’s. The position requires 4-5 years of continuous sobriety, prior service experience, such as having served as a Group Service Representative (GSR) or a standing committee chair, be familiar with 12 Traditions, 12 Concepts, Robert’s Rules of Order, have time and energy to serve the district well, be able to lead the district while respecting the conscious of the district, be familiar with GSO and Area websites, have knowledge of email software to communicate with GSRs.
